Hello SWE fam,

It was wonderful meeting you at the Involvement Fair today! Now that we’re back in person, we have lots of fun club activities scheduled for these upcoming weeks. Coming up this weekend is our Welcome Event (Saturday 09/11 @2pm), where you can meet the Board + other SWE members, learn about our plan for this year, and enjoy free food + fun activities!

There are also a few open positions on the SWE board! We have 3 roles open: Career Development Co-Chair, Tech Co-Chair and Publicity Co-Chair. If you are interested in being more involved with SWE, working along side our great board, and growing the female BSE community, please consider applying. Applications will be due Monday, September 13 at 11:59pm ET. Apply for a position HERE!

Thank you to all of our excellent High School Engineering Colloquium scholars who submitted their results for the egg drop challenge and congratulations to our two winners:

1. Yaquelyn Rivera who had the highest successful drop at 20 feet using a box-like design with straws to absorb the shock of the impact.
2. Elizabeth Mundkowsky who had the most creative design which was a cage with crunchy paper padding. This design also survived a 15 foot drop.
