Girl Scouts Event (Spring 2025)

Saturday, April 5th | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Friend Center

On April 5th, SWE hosted its annual Mechanical Engineering Badge Workshop for local Girl Scouts at the Friend Center. Organized by Girl Scouts Chairs Lindsay Mingolla and Rachel Watkins, the event featured three hands-on activities designed to introduce participants to mechanical engineering concepts while helping them earn their badges.

The workshop brought together Princeton engineering students and young Girl Scouts for a morning of learning and creativity. As with past years’ events, the activities likely gave participants a chance to experience engineering as both fun and accessible – an important part of SWE’s mission to inspire future engineers.

These badge workshops have become a valued tradition for both SWE members and the local Girl Scout troops who participate each year. We thank all the volunteers and attendees who made this event possible!
