Every semester we hold a Badge Workshop for Girl Scouts to introduce more girls to engineering! At these events, local girls earn science and technology badges with members of our club. Our Spring Badge Workshops are for Brownie Girl Scouts and our Fall Badge Workshops are for Junior Girl Scouts.
Upcoming Events
We plan to hold another in-person Girl Scout badge workshop for Brownie troops in the Spring of 2023. We will update this page with more information when registration opens, and feel free to contact us to add your troop to our mailing list!
Past Events
2022 Fall Event
After two years of virtual events, we were so excited to invite Junior Girl Scout troops to Princeton’s Friend Center for this fall’s badge workshop! Led by Girl Scout Co-chairs Leena Memon and Isabella Racioppi, scouts completed the “Think Like an Engineer” badge. This involved four different hands-on activities, including building a mini earthquake-proof building, designing an emergency shelter, and creating a structure that could support multiple textbooks using only newspaper and tape! Our co-chairs and volunteers had so much fun, and we look forward to seeing Brownies in the spring!
2022 Winter Event
For the first time this year, we held a Winter Panel for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors featuring Princeton women in STEM who are former Girl Scouts. We answered questions including our favorite Girl Scouts memories, how we became interested in science and engineering, and what we want to study after graduating! A recording of the panel can be found here. We hope to continue this event in future years!
